"The ritual of bathing has been a part of my life since I can remember. I grew up near the ocean, often finding pleasure and peace in water. This sentiment stayed with me through girlhood and young adulthood, always turning to a bath for nourishment, something to sink into. During pregnancy I would continue to turn to the bath, a moment of reprieve from an achy back or a full mind. I later birthed my son in the bath. So, I suppose, in a way, the bath has continued to make space for me, not the other way around."

"My bathing routine has evolved from something that represented solitude to something that now reflects relationship, family, and unity.
The act, for me, is to cleanse, and I think we all need that emotionally, physically, mentally more often than we realise. It's also an opportunity for deep presence - whether soaking in a tub or washing your body (or your baby's body), you're met with a sort of pausing that few spaces in modern society present.
I love seeing the wonder in his eyes. He loves to reach his small hand out to grab the water streaming out of the faucet only to be surprised every time it warps around his skin, uncatchable—these are the moments I cherish"
