Mother of two, and freelance creative, Amie Jones, opens up about her cherished rituals during pregnancy and the special memories created in the bathing space with her family.

"A solo bath is rare. And what is even more rare, is finding the time for it. With two boys, the days are wonderful and wild, so when they are eventually asleep and the house is calm and still, I can sneak off and run myself a bath. I fill it full with magnesium salts, light my Dyptyque candles and sink in with a large sigh. An indulgent body oil afterwards is also heaven. I consider this a very luxurious moment, so I save it for when I am truly craving some quiet time alone."

"Bathing is something I discovered as a ritual for myself whilst pregnant with my eldest son. The feeling of the water on my belly was a welcome reprieve from aches and a growing body. Not to mention a beautiful moment to disconnect from the world and tune in with my baby. The water supports any extra weight, making you feel much lighter than you are. Once I realised how relaxing and restorative it can be, I was hooked."

"Growing up by the ocean, the water has always been my remedy. The salt is healing. After giving birth, one of the first things I do when back home is dip my toes in the ocean. A bath acts the same way. After a long day of chasing adventure with the boys, the hot water envelopes you like the hug you've needed all day."

"The boys are water babies. It energises them! There is splashing, singing, dancing, and the most common - wrestling. Usually I have to mediate between the two playing tug of war over a toy. But there is always a moment where they stop and share a giggle together. This makes my heart melt. And the soapy walls, dripping wet towels, sopping bath mat, all just fade away. Every day we play a new game - dinosaurs, pirates, bakery. Most nights I end up joining them in the bath which I love. It truly is beautiful chaos. These memories I will cherish forever."
